The History: 16 Years / 58 Cities
In 1993, after conducting campaigns in Mexico and India, David Brown was impressed by the Holy Spirit to conduct a Salvation – Healing Campaign in every medium and large size city in the nation of Honduras. So, he began The Honduras Project know in Honduras as Fiesta de Milagros (Party of Miracles) which to date has reached 58 of the original 60 cities.
Over 600,000 Hondurans have been reached, thousands have been saved and thousands have been healed. In 16 years we’ve seen many miracles: blind people seeing again, deaf ears opened, crippled walking, tumors disappearing and so much more. Many people have been saved just after seeing God perform miracles of healing. God has truly touched the nation of Honduras through the ministry of David Brown and Fiesta De Milagros.
The Honduras Project has gone where no other ministries have ever gone. Most ministries only reach the two biggest cities but The Honduras Project has covered the whole nation with God’s message of hope and healing. Now we’re ready for the last two cities in Honduras San Pedro Sula with a population of over 1 million people and Tegucigalpa, the capital city of Honduras with a population of 1.5 million people. San Pedro Sula, the 59th city is next and the dates have been set for Feb. 12th – 14th, 2010.
The Mission In Each City…
First we gather all of the pastors together and teach them how to strengthen their churches through this crusade and follow up with people after it’s over. Then dates are set and we start advertising and planning the crusade. Banners, posters, radio, tv and even trucks with horns on the top are some of the ways we get the word out about when and what’s happening.
Once the team arrives they setup the field getting it ready for the nights to come. Meanwhile rented buses and trucks go out into the city and surrounding areas gathering people to come to the crusade.
The next three nights Pastor David Brown preaches to thousands of people about salvation and healing. Telling them how Jesus wants to heal and save them and that he is the same yesterday, today and forever. Hundreds of people respond to the message and are saved.
On the second day a Leadership/Pastoral Seminar is provided where Pastor David and some of his team teach the local pastors and leaders how to build their churches and communities.
On the last night Free Books are distributed to the people at the crusade. These books last forever and on average a book in Honduras will be read hundreds of times. Also, on the last night we introduce all of the pastors to the crowd encouraging new converts to get plugged into the local church.
