Since 1993 Pastor David Brown has ministered to an estimated 1,000,000 Hondurans through outdoor Salvation and Healing campaigns known in Honduras as “Fiesta De Milagros” (Party of Miracles). When he first started The Honduras Project he targeted 60 Cities and to date has reached 58 of those cities. Here is a list of those cities:
As my plane descended upon the city of San Pedro Sula last Monday afternoon, I observed the lush and green countryside, the mountains, the fields and the simple homes of my beloved Honduras. I was thinking about the past sixteen years of visiting this beautiful place with its humble people. For sixteen years I have been making friends there, speaking in churches, teaching seminars, encouraging pastors and conducting outdoor Salvation-Healing Campaigns. Read more »
The San Pedro Sula crusade has been set for Feb. 12-14, 2010.
San Pedro Sula is the second largest city in Honduras with a population of over 1,000,000 people. This is city number #59 out of the 60 cities that Pastor David first targeted in 1993. Plagued by poverty, drunkenness, homelessness, hurt, pain and sickness, this growing city needs the healing power of the everlasting gospel.
Keep San Pedro Sula in your prayers as we get ready to conduct our biggest crusade to date. We will need more buses, more advertising and more books than ever before. We are expecting thousands of people to show up to this 3 Night Crusade.
Check 60cities.org regularly for updates on the San Pedro Sula Crusade.
Willie Gomez lives in the Honduran coastal town of Puerto Lempira City #57. The main source of income for a lot of the residents in Puerto Lempira is Lobster Diving. Fishermen along the Miskito coast of Honduras catch about half their lobster harvest from diving, and they descend to depths of 100 feet or more. Many diving injuries involve the “bends,” or decompression sickness, acquired from too rapid an ascent. Many divers have died from it but those who live suffer the long-term physiological effect which is similar to stroke.
Willie was one of these fishermen who came up too fast and was basically paralyzed. He lost his job and his wife and wasn’t able to provide for his family anymore. With time and therapy he learned to walk on crutches but the crutches made it difficult for him to find any kind of work. Willie needed a miracle.
We’ve received word that the campaign dates are approved! San Pedro Sula City #59 is set for February 12th – 14th of 2010. The staff is excited and teams are getting prepared. Pastor David and his team will have the opportunity to let God work through them and effect a nation for Him. Subscribe to our RSS feed to keep receiving news as we get it.
El Progreso, the most recent city of the Honduras Project was absolutely amazing. This was our biggest crusade ever! Over 18,000 people showed up on the last night. Thousands were saved and many more were healed.
The little boy in this video broke his arm and the doctor who fixed it botched the surgery. The boy couldn’t move his arm and couldn’t even open his hand very well. When God healed him, his mother was so emotional she could hardly speak.
The video shows the crowd from several angles because we could not get the whole crowd in one shot. Watch this video as God moves miraculously through the hearts and lives of the people of El Progresso, Honduras through Pastor David and the rest of the team.
